With the rider in mind, this Virtual reality headset prototype was designed to give the user a virtual and physical riding experience
The VR set was designed inline with Ducati's brand architecture. Labelled as the GP experience center, the idea to create a track side virtual reality experience was born.
Ideations were formed inline with the brief. Key components of form were analysed.
The headset was modelled in Solid works to visualize the form and scale. Each component was projected into it's 2d form to be laser cut from cardboard.
Tactile feedback from the brake lever, clutch lever and throttle allows the rider to immerse into the experience.
Adjustable elastic head strap to suit a wide range of users and allows ease of use.
Tilt up visor, with a face covering incorporating wind simulation and dual speakers enforces the life like experience.
